About Us

Who We Are:
The Allergy-Friendly Baker LLC is a home based bakery located in Central Virginia that specializes in dairy and egg free cakes, cupcakes and cookies.  It is a family business operated by Nicole who designs, bakes and decorates all the tasty creations.

Our Inspiration:
This is simple.  Our inspiration for our business is our son who was diagnosed with a dairy allergy when he was two months old.  Nicole instantly decided that her son's allergy would not stop him from enjoying wonderful sweet treats such as birthday cake!  She went to work researching ingredients, shopping for the lowest baking supply prices, and crafting recipes from scratch.  Some recipes worked while others failed but after many months of experiments, she finally revealed her cakes and cookies to her friends, family and, of course, her son.  He loved them and both Nicole and her husband were relieved and excited that their son could enjoy the same foods as his family.

Nicole decided not to stop with dairy free desserts and started baking egg free treats as well.  As our small business grows, Nicole hopes to continue her allergy-friendly food mission and expand her menu to include gluten free and vegan options.
